Rotherham Council
爱游戏app在线I would like to say a ‘Big Thank You' to yourself and all those at SLD Pumps who were involved in the recent flooding of Rotherham.
If not for your expertise and helpfulness in the situation I would not like to think what may have happened.
You were always on the end of the phone with advice and help at any time of the day and night.
Again, I would like to express my appreciation and thanks and although I would not wish the situation on anyone again, we look forward to dealing with you in the future.
Pollution Incident at Bury, Greater Manchester
Dear all, I would just like to take this opportunity to send my thanks for the speedy time in which both of the above contractors reacted to an urgent pollution incident next to the river Irwell in Bury yesterday.
I received a call at 13.15pm 14/02/08 to attend a pollution at the above address. On arrival to site it soon became clear that a C.S.O.was discharging a lot of sewerage into the river as a collapse on a 450mm sewer had surcharged the system and began contaminating the water course.
TOTAL PLANT HIRE had a machine loaded onto a low loader and on-site within an hour of the order going on and S.L.D.PUMPS AND POWER had a six inch pump delivered with all of the attachments roughly 5 minutes later.
I was able to mobilise a dig team to attend site prior to the equipment arriving and as a consequence of the whole teams endeavor, including the staff at the S.C.M.help line, a major pollution incident was avoided and the Environment Agency left more than happy with our response time and the quick and professional way in which we dealt with it.
Once again, many thanks to all who helped!
